William J. Bill Eastwood, 91, of Anselmo, NE, died Sunday June 14, 2015, at Tiffany Square Care Center. Mr. Eastwoods wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Bill was born May 17, 1924 at Stapleton, NE. He was the son of William John and Ida Mae (Gorsuch) Eastwood. Survivors of the immediate include his wife of 70 years, Irene Eastwood of Anselmo, NE Two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Eastwood of Grand Island, NE Bob and Char Eastwood of Anselmo, NE Two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Ron Jensen of Grand Island, NE Carol and Jerry Urbanski of Grand Island, NE Others left to cherish his memory include his grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Corey Ludwig, Jared and Jamie Jensen, Kelli and Henry Schulte, John and Monica Urbanski, Bart and Shannon Eastwood, Elizabeth and Scott Stotler. Great grandchildren, Hunter Ludwig, Cade Ludwig, Alex Urbanski, Jordyn Urbanski, Cole Eastwood, Allie Eastwood, Whitney Jensen and Wyatt Jensen. Bill grew up in Stapleton, NE attending school there. He married Alice Irene Dircksen on September 21, 1944 at Ft. Riley, KS. Bill entered the Army a couple of days later serving until his honorable discharge in June of 1946. He returned to Stapleton, NE and began farming. He and his family lived in Colorado, Pine Bluffs, WY and Central City, NE before moving to Anselmo, NE in 1969 where he farmed, raised cattle and operated his dairy farm. He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved riding and working with his horses. He was preceded in death by his nine brothers and sisters.
