Thomas L. Miller, 70, of Grand Island, NE, died Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Edgewood Vista with his family by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 29, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev Marty L. Egging and Rev. Mark A. Maresh will be the concelebrants. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors presented by the United Veterans Honor Guard and the U. S. Navy Honor Team. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 4 6 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Tom was born October 12, 1945, at Portland, OR. He was the son of Anthony D. and Lillian L. (Lukesh) Miller.

Others left to cherish his memory include his grandchildren, Samantha, Tabetha, Taylre, Julia, Tori, Jimmy, step grandchildren, Abi, Tiana, Nevaeh, and four great grandchildren.
Tom moved to Grand Island at an early age, attending Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1963. He entered the U.S. Navy on September 17, 1963 serving until his honorable discharge on September 1, 1966. He returned to Lincoln, NE where he attended the University of Nebraska. He married Barbara Schultz on May 23, 1972, at Las Vegas, NV. Tom owned and operated The Balcony Lounge. He became a photographer, taking church directory photographs for Olan Mills and later Life Touch. He married Mary Lou Labenz Vokoun on April 24, 1993 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island, NE. They lived in Grand Island. Tom later worked part-time as a delivery driver for Liberty Cleaners. He retired in 2014.
Tom enjoyed following his grandchildrens school and sporting activities, golfing, Nebraska football, traveling, yoga, and his four legged Schnauzer friends Manny and Caesar.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, A.A., Saddle Club, and was a regular blood donor.
Memorials are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal grandparents Joseph and Albina Lukesh.
