Terry L. Korn, 61, of the Grand Island Veterans Home, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at the home. Memorial services will be Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of the Grand Island Veterans Home. The Rev. William Noer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Nebraska Veterans Home Memorial Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Team. Mr. Korns wishes were to be cremated. The family will greet the public one hour prior to services. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Mr. Korn was born October 2, 1949, at Nampa, Idaho. He was the son of Lawrence E. & Glenna (Bottorf) Korn.
Survivors of the immediate family include two sons, Gabriel Korn of Lincoln, NE
Adam Korn of Columbus, NE
Two daughters, Chanteele Korn of Georgia
Krystal Korn of Michigan
Two brothers & sisters-in-law, Gary & Chris Korn of Belvidere, NE
Dick & Charlette Korn of North Platte, NE
One sister, Diana Hutchins of Grand Island, NE
Others left to cherish his memory include eight grandchildren.
Mr. Korn lived in several states before moving to Bradshaw, NE. He graduated from Bradshaw High School in 1967. He entered the U.S. Army on February 28, 1968 serving in Vietnam until his honorable discharge on October 26, 1969. He returned to York, Nebraska, where he was a construction worker. He married Connie at York, NE. He moved to Denver, Colorado and married Jeanne. Terry continued working construction and began his own cabinet making business. He returned to Grand Island continuing his carpentry business. He lived with his sister Diana for eleven years before entering the Grand Island Veterans Home in 2008.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and playing Texas Holdum on his computer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Randy Korn.
