Obituary

Leaving music in her wake, Sharon Kay (Schimmer) (Jensen) Maret, 80, former Grand Island resident, left this life for the next on December 7, 2023 at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home. The day did, however, bring an end to Sharon's long struggle with dementia. The disease robbed much, but never stole her good nature or her loving smile. A private family service will be held, with interment in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Your thoughts may be given at www.curranfuneralchapel.com under Sharon's obituary. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Sharon was born on September 30, 1943 in Grand Island, NE to Emil and Ella Jean (Sherrard) Schimmer.
