Samantha Lyn
County
October 13, 1968 – June 3, 2026
Samantha Lyn County, 57, a woman of remarkable kindness and unwavering devotion, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Grand Island, Nebraska, on June 3, 2026. Born on October 13, 1968, in Littleton, CO, the daughter of Richard D. and Virginia (Barrow) County. Samantha’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and gentle strength.
A proud graduate of Bear Creek High School in Littleton, CO Samantha carried the values and spirit of her early years throughout her lifetime. Her greatest joy and passion were her children, for whom she cared deeply, always striving to provide the best nurture and support imaginable. Samantha’s kindness was not merely a trait but a defining element of her character, touching all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Samantha was a woman who embraced life's challenges with courage and grace. Her loving nature remained evident in every action, her nurturing heart a constant beacon to her beloved son, Chris County. Though she faced every day with resilience and tenderness, her sudden passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those close to her.
She is survived by her son, Chris County, who carries forward her legacy; her devoted sister, Marlena Wicker; and brother, Todd A. County and Wesley G. County, and her cherished mother, Virginia Berkhouse. Each of them, along with all who knew Samantha, will remember her gentle spirit and the quiet strength with which she met life’s many demands.
As we reflect on Samantha’s life, we celebrate a woman who exemplified kindness and care, a mother whose love knew no bounds, and a soul whose warmth enriched the lives around her. Though she departed this world sooner than expected, the memory of her compassionate heart and steadfast dedication will endure in the lives she touched forever.
Cremation has been selected with private graveside service at a later date. You are encouraged to sign Samantha’s guest book at www.curranfuneralchapel.com under her obituary. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
