Ronald D. Jones, 49, of Doniphan, NE, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Sheri Lodel will officiate. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the family, at PO Box 1274, Kearney, NE 68848, with a fund to be established at a later date. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Ron was born May 8, 1969, at Tilden, NE. He was the son of Rev. Douglas F. and Constance J. (Easley) Jones. Survivors of his immediate family include his daughter, Hannah EveRose Jones of Grand Island, NE Sister, Stefanie Bleich & Chuck Smallcomb of Kearney, NE Nieces, Khrysty Poland, Kourtnee Bleich, nephew, Douglas Bleich Grandmother, Joan Jones of Wisner, NE Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ron graduated from York High School in 1987. He continued his education at Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, NE, completing his degree in Welding. He was employed at Diamond Truck Wash, as a bay attendant, at the time of his death. Ron loved the time he spent, with the love of his life, his daughter, Hannah. He enjoyed the company of his friends, cats, and was a collector of football cards. He was an avid stock car enthusiast enjoying videoing and photographing the events he attended.
