Robert J. Bob Koehler Jr., 49, of Kearney, NE, died Thursday, September 17, 2015, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leos Catholic Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Donald A. Buhrman will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Bob was born February 14, 1966, at Grand Island, NE, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Bykerk), Koehler. Survivors of the immediate family include his parents, Robert and Dorothy Koehler of Omaha, NE Two sisters, Carla Koehler of Omaha, NE Stephanie Koehler of Omaha, NE Three nephews, Joshua Koehler, Jerad Forrest, and Leoniads Freeman Bob grew up in Grand Island until moving with his family to Omaha. Bob graduated from Millard South in 1984 and continued his education at UNK. He worked in sales for D & K Auto in Kearney before joining Ag Dryer Services, Inc. in Elm Creek as a sales manager. He enjoyed life, sports, participating in the Kearney City League sports, and took the Polar Bear Plunge. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends and will be missed by many. Memorials are suggested to the familys choice. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma Cohee, Dan and Anna Bykerk.
