Robert was born in Hastings, NE to Robert H and Kathryn (Rose) Adams on June 15, 1949. He passed away peacefully, with his loving family at his side, at the age of 75 on July 22, 2024 in Lincoln, NE at the Holmes Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Robert (Bob) was born with Cerebral Palsy.  From the beginning he was a fighter for his life and a fighter to be part of this world. He fought to learn to walk, ride a trike, then a bike and run in the Special Junior Olympics.

Bob made many friends throughout life.  He won the hearts of many as he would put on a great smile and say "Go Big Red"!

Bob was also one to pray every day.  While in the nursing home Bob prayed daily at chapel, made many friends and seemed to be happy with his new home in Lincoln.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, infant brothers Michael and Richard, and his grandparents.

Bob's immediate survivors include his sister and brother-in-law Roxanne and Jack Janeke.  Nephews and nieces, Heath (Jennifer) Janeke, Kristine (Ryan) Amen, grand-nephew and nieces Alex Janeke, Alicia Janeke and Emily Amen along with many cousins.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings, NE.  The Rev. Craig Clinch will be the celebrant.  Interment will be the Grand Island City Cemetery following the funeral mass.  Visitation will be an hour prior the funeral mass at the church, with a rosary recited at 9:30 a.m.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Roxanne and Jack Janeke, 6024 Fleetwood Dr., Lincoln, NE  68516 for designation at a later date.
