Renae E. Feldt, 55, of ONeill, NE formerly of Grand Island, Nebraska, died Saturday, February 19, 2011, at her home in ONeill, NE with family by her side after a 8 year battle with ALS. Mrs. Feldts wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Owens will officiate. The family will greet friends Wednesday, February 23, 2011, from 4 7 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. Renae was born July 12, 1955, at Grand Island, Nebraska. She was the daughter of L. Myron & Elizabeth (VanPelt) Duncan. Survivors of the immediate family include three sons & a daughter-in-law: Shane Feldt of Grand Island, NE Chuck Feldt of San Diago, CA Sgt 1st Class Scott & Lisa Feldt of Colorado Springs, CO Three daughters & a son-in-law: Beth Feldt of Grand Island, NE Heather Clark of Lincoln, NE Debbie & Stacey Neilson Two brothers & a sister-in-law: Kim & Connie Duncan of Grand Island, NE Gregg Duncan of Grand Island, NE Four sisters & two brothers-in-law: Dorene & Bud Cravener of Bailey, CO Vicki Gewecke of Grand Island, NE Tamie Duncan & Stuart McDonald of ONeill, NE Melody Steele of Grand Island, NE Others left to cherish her memory include 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Renae grew up and received her education in Wood River, Grand Island & Alda, NE. She married Charles A. Feldt on December 28, 1973, at Wood River, NE. The couple lived in Grand Island and Alda, NE. She was employed at Baxters Feed Yards, the Drive-In Theatre, and Leon Plastics where she worked for 28 years before retiring in 2003, due to ill health. Mr. Feldt died on May 30, 2002. She enjoyed time spent with her family, cooking and reading. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Rebecca Lodge while in Grand Island. She is welcomed into heaven by her parents, husband, Charles, son Kirk Feldt, and granddaughter, Shasheena Feldt. Memorials are suggested to familys choice.
