Obituary
Rachel Burkhardt, 69, of St. Paul, NE, died Sunday, January 13, 2019, at CHI Health St. Francis Skilled Care, surrounded by her family. Rachel's life will be celebrated Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Stonewood Community Center, 3828 Ironwood Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Rachel was born July 22, 1949, in Steele, MO. She was the daughter of Wince and Ora (Hunter) Flanagan.
Survivors of her immediate family include her sons, Robert, Barrett, Darin, and Brian.
Others left to cherish her memory include her five siblings and 10 grandchildren.
Rachel was one of ten children raised in a large loving family. She married Robert Burkhardt Sr. on April 27, 1967, in Stevenson, WA. She was a mother and homemaker. She lived for her sons and grandchildren. She loved to bake and cook for them, and was their number one supporter in all their activities. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She also was a country music fan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.
