Penni Lynn Rowland-French, 67, of Grand Island, NE, died Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Penni was born March 14, 1959 in Great Falls, MT, to David F. and Patricia Rowland (née Armstrong), 37 minutes after her twin sister, Patti. Raised by her mother and stepfather, Jim Guindon, Penni grew up in Wyoming, graduating from Green River High School in 1977. She earned an Associate’s degree in business from Western Wyoming Community College in 1979, and later attended the University of Wyoming. She moved to Grand Island in 1992, where she worked as a pension administrator at Principal Financial Group for over 20 years. Penni married Sid French on June 18, 1998, in Grand Island.

She is survived by her children, Taylor Brase and Bryce Bartu; stepsons, Travis and Eric French; and siblings Patti Rowland, Shadra Guindon, Chuck Rowland, Dave Rowland, and Carolyn McKinley.

Penni was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sid French.

No service is planned at this time. Memorials are suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society in Penni’s memory. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
