It is with deep respect that we announce the passing of Patricia "Marie" Valverde, who departed this life on June 17, 2026, at her home in Grand Island, Nebraska. Born on August 4, 1964, in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Gilbert and Patricia (Carbello) Valverde. Patricia's life was brief but touched the hearts of many.

Patricia "Marie" Valverde was known to her loved ones as Marie and was cherished for the warmth and kindness she brought to those around her. Though her time on earth was short, the love and connection she shared with her family and friends have left a lasting impression.

Marie is survived by a loving family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her brother, Gilbert Ricardo Valverde, and her sisters, Beatrice Rosemary Vasquez, Carmen Ann Sebastian, Angela Florence Valverde, and Stella Valverde, continues to honor her legacy. In addition to her siblings, her circle of survivors includes her children, Alfredo T. Orona, Oliva Hernandez, Anna (Brownell) Polmantier, along with six grandchildren, Francisco Crouch, Rafael Orona, Lorenzo Orona, Julian, Jhianna, and Jhanessa, and two great-grandchildren. Her presence will be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom carry a piece of her spirit forward.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Gilbert Valverde Jr., and a beloved granddaughter, Aleah Rodriguez Renteria. Their memories are treasured alongside hers, a testament to the interconnectedness of family across generations.

Though Patricia "Marie" Valverde's life was brief, the bonds she created and the love she spread endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory is revered with the dignity and respect it deserves, now and always.
