Mary E. Leslie, 87, of Grand Island, NE, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at Tiffany Square Care Center. Mass of the Christian burial will Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Cathedral. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski Jr. will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2015, from 6 7 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel with at Catholic Daughters Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Mary was born October 24, 1928, at Ft. Collins, Colorado. She was the daughter of Judge Edward & Florence (Gallagher) McCarry.
Survivors of the immediate family include three daughters & two sons-in-law,

Barbara & David Krolikowski of Grand Island, NE
Frances & John Kellogg of Centennial, CO
Seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter
One brother & sister-in-law, David & Marian McCarry of Ft. Collins, CO
Mary grew up and received her education at St. Josephs Catholic School in Ft. Collins until the 8th grade. She attended Ft. Collins Jr. High School and graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1946. She attended Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado for a year before attending Colorado State University, receiving her Bachelors Degree in 1953. She married Robert C. Leslie on June 6, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado. They lived in Grand Island where Mary was a homemaker raising her four children. She was active in St. Marys Cathedral and helped establish the Friendship Luncheon at the church and was also involved in Central Catholic Silvers Club. Her son Bill Leslie died June 30, 2003 and Dr. Leslie died March 20, 2004.
She is a member of St. Marys Cathedral, Cathedral Ladies, Catholic Daughters of Americas, Court Ave Maria #1263.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Robert Leslie, an infant son, Peter, son Bill Leslie, and one sister, Barbara McCarry.
