Mary L. (Happold) Berg, 80, of Grand Island, NE formerly of Denver, CO, died Monday, December 11, 2023, at Bickford Cottage of Grand Island, NE. Private family services will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in Cedar View Cemetery in Doniphan NE. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Doniphan, NE. Mary was born September 8, 1943, at Grand Island, NE, the daughter of Norman William and Alice Ruth (Holbein) Happold. Mary grew up on the family farm in Doniphan, NE. She attended Trumbull High School graduating in 1961. Mary continued her education at Kearney College for two years. After her schooling Mary moved to Denver, CO. She was united in marriage to Joe Berg in 1969. She began her medical career as an X-ray technician retiring as manager of Ultra Sound at Rose Medical Center in Denver, CO.
Mary was an avid traveler and enjoyed the company of her cats.
Mary was confirmed and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Doniphan, NE
Mary is survived by her brother, Steve (Judy) Happold of Doniphan, NE
Sister, Peg (Eldon) Kroeger of Doniphan, NE
Brother-in-law, Jerry Uffelman of Yorba Linda, CA
Nieces and nephews, Kim (Alex) Simovick, Lori (Dave) Gilbertson, Lisa (Mike) Noack, Renee (Dan) Saathoff, Nick (Tracy) Happold, Ryan Happold, Beth Kroeger, Brad (Jill) Kroeger, numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by parents and sister, Rosanne Uffelman
