Era hija de Lino y María Del Refugio Márquez Méndez. Creció en México antes de emigrar a los Estados Unidos en 1980. Vivió en Texas y California mudándose a Grand Island en 2004. A María le encantaba cocinar para su familia y pasar tiempo con ellos. Le gustaba tejer, ver telenovelas, y siempre ayudaba a los demás. Le gustaba viajar, y constantemente compartía sus recuerdos de su juventud con sus hijos, amistades y sus nietos. Maria was born September 1, 1946, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was the daughter of Lino and Maria (Del Refugio Marquez) Mendez. She grew up in Mexico. Maria married Guiello Hernandez on September 1, 1972. She immigrated to the United States in 1980. She lived in Texas and California moving to Grand Island in 2004. Maria loved cooking for her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed crocheting, watching soap operas, and was always helping others. She liked traveling, and constantly shared her memories of her youth with her children and grandchildren. Survivors of her immediate family include her children, Sergio (Myra) Hernandez of Ft. Worth, TX Marah Hernandez of Los Angeles, CA Ada (Edgar) Fernandez de Grand Island, NE Grandchildren, Ruby, Carmen, Valarie, Daniella, Abigail, Belen, Camila, Dante, Genesis Brothers and sisters, Vicente, Olivia, Alejo, Jose, Linda, Ismael, Ramiro, and Rosa. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Acension and sister Elena.
