Macy P. Carter, 22, of Grand Island, NE, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, with family at her side. Funeral service will be Monday, June 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Third City Christian Church. The Rev. Scott Jones will officiate. Interment will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 20, 2021, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date. She was a twin daughter of Gary and Michelle (Brown) Carter. Macy grew up in Grand Island receiving her education at Dodge Elementary, Barr Middle School and graduated from GISH in 2017. She also completed the extended program at the Indra House and graduated from Project Search in May of 2020. She was employed at Goodwill Developmental Disabilities Service at the time of her death. Macy loved listening to music, especially her favorite group, One Direction. She also enjoyed Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber and a host of others. She enjoyed watching her favorite shows like The Voice, America's Got Talent, and anything on the Disney channel or Nickelodeon. Friday's menu was always chicken nuggets and french fries. Saturday was always nachos. Pizza was another one of her favorite foods. Sunday was popcorn and movie night - Macy always had to pick the show. Macy's infectious laugh and her fun-loving spirit touched all she came in contact with. She lit up any room she entered. One of her favorite things to do was to message with friends on Facebook and Instagram. She also loved to make funny videos on Snapchat. Macy is survived by her parents, Michelle Carter and Gary Carter both of Grand Island, NE, Twin sister, Hannah Carter of Lincoln, NE and Brother, Jacob Carter of Grand Island, NE Maternal grandparents, Richard and Marie Brown of Council Bluffs, IA Paternal grandfather, Raymond Horacek of Hastings, NE and special friend, Diane Miller of Grand Island, NE Macy is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Patricia Yilk Horacek and great aunt, Diane Snider.
