Louise Weezie C. Borowski, 95, of Grand Island, NE, died Friday, September 19, 2014, at CHI St. Francis Skilled Care Unit. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Cathedral. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski Jr. will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 22, 2014, from 4 7 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Weezie was born August 28, 1919, at Ashton, NE. She was the daughter of Dominic & Theresa (Wroblewski) Stobbe
Survivors of the immediate family include her two sons and a daughter-in-law: George & Judy Borowski of Fullerton, CA.
Michael Borowski of Corona, CA.
One Daughter and son-in-law: Dianna & Duane Deis of Grand Island, NE.

Weezie grew up and received her education in Ashton, graduating from St. Francis High School. She married Clarence Borowski in 1939, in Gering, NE. They moved to Grand Island in 1944. Weezie was employed for over 25 years at Wolbachs and Schwesers department stores. Weezie worked for 20 years as a hostess at Village Inn. She enjoyed quilting, traveling and visiting her children. Mr. Borowski died December 3, 1987.
She was a member of St. Marys Cathedral, Cathedral Ladies, and Catholic Daughters Court Ave Maria 1263.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, two infant daughters, three sisters, Phyllis Johnson & Dorothy Lewton Pomeroy, JoAnn Koeningsman, a brother Jim Stobbe.
Memorials are suggested to St. Marys Cathedral Square.
