Leta Deloris Isbrandtsen, 86, of the Grand Island Veterans Home, formerly of Sargent, NE, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Grand Island Veterans Home. Services will be Friday, January 4, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Chad Boling will officiate. Burial will be in the Nebraska Veterans Home Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2012, from 5 7 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. Leta was born October 15, 1926, at Milford, Nebraska. She is the daughter of Paul and Clara (Kuester) Wittmuss. Survivors of her immediate family include her husband Howard G. Isbrandtsen of Grand Island, NE One son, Dennis J. Isbrandtsen of Plattsmouth, NE Leta grew up in Milford, Nebraska, graduating from Milford High School in 1945. She was employed at Russell Stovers Candy Factory as a production worker for five years. She married Howard G. Isbrandtsen on March 24, 1967, at Milford, Nebraska. They lived in Sargent , NE where Leta was a homemaker and a mother. Leta enjoyed keeping her home and she loved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Gerald, Kenneth, Willard, Earl and Donald Wittmuss and one sister Juanita Patton. Memorials are suggested to the Grand Island Veterans Home.
