Lana L. Holmquist, 84, of Grand Island, NE died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE. Lana requested cremation. No services are planned at this time. Lana was born June 13, 1941, in Evansville, IN. She was the daughter of Lendorse and Naomi (Mason) Pitzer. Lana grew up in Illinois until her teenage years when she moved with family to California. She graduated from Cal-Poly. She married Richard Holmquist on December 19, 1964 at Las Vegas, NV. The couple made their home in Fresno, CA where they raised the two children Stacy and Jason. They moved to Grand Island, NE in 1982. Lana owned and operated Lana’s Antique Mall until her retirement.

Lana was a thriftier, she was always searching for the diamond in the rough that she or someone could call a treasure. She enjoyed sipping wine and the mood of relaxation that accompanied it. She was a collector of porcelain dolls and had a love for antiquing.
