Karan L. Scott, 75, of Grand Island, NE died Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home. Karen's wish was to be cremated. No services are planned currently. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at www.curranfuneralchapel.com under Karan's obituary.
Karan was born November 24, 1947, in Grand Island, NE. She is the daughter of Merton and Lela (Stiles) Boroff. She grew up in Grand Island NE one of seven children of which Karen and her twin sister Kaffie were the youngest. Karan met and married John Scott. The Scott's had resided in San Antonia, TX, Lincoln, MO and Omaha, NE where they raised their children. Karan worked as a cook, bartender, and waitress, at various establishments.
Karan enjoyed watching old movies/tv programs and playing games on her phone
Survivors of her immediately family include her daughter Deanna Christiansen of Lincoln, NE
Son, Christopher Kempel of Lincoln, NE
Twin sister, Kaffie Alber of Sterling, KS, sister Kay Rieken of Grand Island, and brother Jim Boroff of Grand Island, NE.
Karan is preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sisters Lela Aufdenkamp and Carol Vejvoda and brother Jack Boroff.
