Joan Costello, 88, of Grand Island, NE died peacefully Monday, June 1, 2026, at her home.  Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Cathedral.  The Rev. James Beran will celebrate the funeral mass assisted by Deacon John Farlee.  Interment will be in the O'Connor Cemetery in O'Connor, Nebraska with a 2 p.m. committal service.  Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4 - 6 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel with a vigil service at 6 p.m.  Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Cathedral or to the family with later designation.  Your thoughts and prayers may be given at www.curranfuneralchapel.com under Joan's obituary.  Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
