Jeanette Barbara (Kiolbasa) Kemper, 86, of St. Libory, NE, passed away on April 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, May 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Libory Catholic Church. The Rev. Sidney B. Bruggeman will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Libory Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 5 – 6 p.m. at St. Libory Catholic Church with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Parkinson's Foundation at Parkinson.org or Grand Island Central Catholic Grade School. Jeanette was born in Fullerton, NE on November 13, 1937 to Frank & Barbara (Uzendoski) Kiolbasa. She became a beautician after graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1955. She married Robert Kemper in August 1957. They lived in Colorado for 60 years where Jeanette worked in the library of Westview Elementary School for 20 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish. She loved to cook and travel but her family was her greatest joy. Jeanette is survived by her son, Steve (Mary) Kemper, grandsons, Robert (Delaney), Joseph (Catie), Daniel, Michael, and Thomas, daughter, Kathy (Scott) Orrino, granddaughter, Tess (Nicholas) Jerabek, grandson Dilan (Rachel), daughter, Vicki (Mark) Zimmer, grandsons Jake (Sara), Sam (Samantha), granddaughter, Elli & grandson Corey, son in-law, Dave Evenden and grandson Zach (Katie), and 9 great grandchildren. Also, brother Ed Kiolbasa, 99, of Stillwater, MN. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Robert, and a daughter Christy, four brothers and three sisters.
