Obituary
Gwen K. Reed, 63, of Grand Island, NE, died May 1, 2021, at her home with family at her side. Gwen's wish was to be cremated. No services are planned at this time. Gwen was born June 25, 1957, in Grand Island, NE. She was the daughter of Don and Donna (Schuck) Wernke. She grew up in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Sr. High School in 1975. She married Randall Reed on July 17, 1981, in Springfield, MO. The couple lived in Grand Island. Gwen was employed at Brandeis, FSA, and The Home Depot, retiring in the fall of 2018. Randy died December 14, 2016.
When stepping into Gwen's home her love of Husker football was evident, "Go Big Red". She cherished time spent with her family and the company of her four-legged friend, Molly, and fur grandbabies, Buster, Baby Girl, and Max. She enjoyed shooting pool and playing in pool league in her younger days.
Gwen will be missed by her son, Randy (Kristen) Reed of Grand Island, NE
Granddaughter, Kaylynn
Brother, Tom (Julie) Lethert of Montana
Sister, Cheryl Norine, of California
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Randy.
