Gerald W. Jerry Crumrine, 83, of Ogallala, NE, formerly of Grand Island, NE, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, surrounded by his family, at WEL-Life in Ogallala. Services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tim Rust will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United Veterans Honor Guard the U.S. Marines Corp Honor Team. Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2012, from 4 7 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Jerry was born August 10, 1929, at Jewell, Kansas. He was the son of George Alonzo & Catherine Elizabeth (Crouch) Crumrine.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Crumrine of Ogallala, NE.

Other left to cherish his memory includes his grandsons and spouses, Dan & Christine Krajewski, Dustin & Nola Krajewski, Dean & Becca Krajewski, Darin Krajewski, John Crumrine and fianc Joni Duren, Jason & Kristen Crumrine, and Jeff Crumrine.
Great grandchildren, Hunter & Conner Krajewski, Marek & Weston Krajewski, Nevaeh & Daelyn Krajewski.
Several nephews.
Jerry grew up in Greeley, Elba, St. Paul and Shelton. He graduated from Dannebrog High School in 1948. Jerry married Anna Mortensen on September 4, 1950, at Grand Island, NE. He entered the U. S. Marine Corps on February 15, 1952, and served until his honorable discharge on February 14, 1954. After his discharge he returned to Grand Island. He began working at Chicago Lumber Company as a janitor and later worked in the bookkeeping department. He advanced to assistant manager in 1962 and in 1978 was appointed manager. He was knowledgeable in all aspects of the contract/construction industry. Jerry retired from Chicago Lumber Co. in 1995. He was a master craftsman, continuing his passion for woodworking in his backyard shop, crafting hope chests, benches, shelves, flag cases and many other items for family, friends and businesses. He gifted his shop tools to his children and grandchildren for them to take care of and use. He enjoyed traveling with Anna in their motor home and was a fan of country music.
He was a past member of the Lions Club, Liederkranz, Sertoma and VFW.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Anna Belle Whitehead and nephew Steve Crumrine.
