Dorothy L. Bohan, 86, of North Platte, NE, formerly of Grand Island, NE, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Great Plains Health, in North Platte, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 31. 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, in Grand Island. The Rev. Todd K. Philipsen will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 4 7 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Dorothy was born December 2, 1927, at Salida, CO. She was the daughter of Thomas and Ellen (Conroy) Ryan. Survivors of the immediate family include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Valerie Bohan Jr. of North Platte, NE A daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Rocky Muir of Alma, NE Others left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, Jennifer (Giovanni) Buchanan, Brian Bohan, Lisa (Jason) Wood, Danial Muir, great grandchildren, Rylan Buchanan, Jordan Muir, Skylar Wood, Ryder Wood, O.J. Muir, Jeremy Muir, Hailey Muir, Jace Muir, Katilyn Muir, great great grandchildren, Blake and Alixa Muir. Dorothy grew up in Salida receiving her education there. She married Robert P. Bohan Sr. on July 6, 1957, in Denver, CO. They lived in Grand Island and Dorothy was a LPN Adult Family Home Provider for the handicapped. They moved to North Platte in 1999. Robert died June 10, 2008. Dorothy enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a member St. Patricks Catholic Church in North Platte and a past member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The family requests mass offerings as memorials. She was preceded in death by her husband, great grandson Jaden Muir, and a sister, Marie Young.
