Obituary

Delores Ringlein Henman, 91, of Grand Island, NE died Sunday, October 02, 2011, at the Grand Island Veterans Home. Services will be Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Cathedral. The Rev. Richard L. Piontkowski Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Henman requested no visitation. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Delores was born December 25, 1919, near Primrose, NE. She was the daughter of John & Louise (Vanderloupe) Huhman. Survivors of her immediate family include twin sons and a daughter-in-law, Don Ringlein of Dothan, AL Dean & Rose Mary Ringlein of Kearney, NE Step son-in-law & step daughter-in-law, Ken & Vera Henman of Grand Island, NE One sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Kansas City, KS One sister-in-law, Marie Iwankski of St. Paul, NE One brother-in-law, John Ringlein of Lincoln, NE Others left to cherish her memory include four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren. She grew up and received her education in Spalding, NE. She married Clarence Ringlein on February 8, 1938 at Spalding, NE. They moved to Boise, ID, returning in 1942 to make their home in Grand Island, NE. She worked as a seamstress for Sink & Bare Cleaners retiring in 1986. Mr. Ringlein died in 1979. Delores married Richard Henman in October of 1989. They lived in Grand Island. Mr. Henman died in July of 1997. Delores moved to Chrysalis in May of 2002 living there until 2009. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a member of several card groups. She enjoyed bingo, puzzles, her rose gardens and was a avid Nebraska Cornhusker Fan. She was a member of St. Marys Cathedral. Memorials are suggested to St. Marys Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Clarence Ringlein & Richard Henman, a son, Richard Little Dicky Ringlein, grandson, Michael Ringlein, five brothers & six sisters.
