Dawn L. Foltz, 69, of Doniphan, NE died October 7, 2026, at her home in Doniphan. Dawn’s life will be celebrated at a later date. Private family inurnment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Shickley, NE. Memorials are suggested to the family with later designation. Dawn was born June 7, 1957, in Ogden, Utah. The daughter of James and Marjorie (Jacque) Foltz. Dawn proudly shared her memories of living in Milwaukee and Germany, where her father was stationed with the U.S. Air Force, returning to Shickley, NE upon his death. She graduated from Hastings High School and continued her education at Central Technical Community College in Hastings. She married Bradford Stewart on June 12, 1976 at Geneva, NE. They made Doniphan, NE their home raising their three children Dustin, Alyssa, and Dylan. Dawn had various jobs working at Skagway, Walmart, and Holiday Inn, but her favorite was working at Katy’s Old Town Saloon in Doniphan.

Dawn enjoyed shopping online, sewing, crocheting, researching family genealogy and was an excellent cook and baker, known especially for her cakes. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Alyssa (Justin) Leu of Aurora, NE

Dylan (Karley) Stewart of Giltner, NE

Grandchildren: Harper, Haven, Hadlee, and Huxley Leu, Aubree, Kolar, and Archer Stewart.

Mother and step-father: Marjorie (Monty) Longacre of Manhattan, KS

Special friend: Julie Barrientez of Doniphan, NE

Siblings: Ann (John) Staub of Pennsylvania

Jim (Mindy) Foltz of Friend, NE

Jay (Dawn) Longacre of Sutherland, NE

Jan (Neil) Camera of Manhattan, KS

Dawn is preceded in death by her father, James Foltz, grandchildren, Harlow Leu, Hope and Adora Stewart, niece Jennifer Clause and grandparents, Anton & Dorothy Jacque.
