Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Willey, 60, of Grand Island, NE, died Friday, January 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Cindy's wish was to cremated. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Donald A. Buhrman will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a vigil service at 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Grand Island Central Catholic or American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge – Omaha, NE, 8030 Farnam Dr., Omaha, NE 68114. Cindy was born August 17, 1963, in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of William J. and Joyce R. (Jacobsen) Ryan. Cindy grew up in Grand Island attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Grand Island Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1981. She married Kevin J. Willey on September 18, 1981, in Grand Island, NE. They lived in Grand Island raising their children Jason, Giann, and Katie. Cindy worked in the banking industry most of her life. She worked at Central Community College in Student Accounts before transitioning to Northwestern Mutual where she worked for 18 years. She later joined American Family Insurance working until 2018 retiring due to health issues. Cindy most enjoyed time spent with her family, children, and grandchildren. She is an avid golfer, enjoying flower gardening and crocheting. Cindy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Centura Hills Golf Course, and the Grand Island Women's Club. Cindy is survived by her husband, Kevin Willey of Grand Island, NE Children, Jason R. (Samantha) Willey of Ralston, NE and their daughter Sadah Willey Giann (Brandon) Callahan of Grand Island, NE and step daughter Lexee Callahan Katie Wilson of Central City, NE and her children Cove R. Wilson and Hayden L.
