Charles Chuck R. Barlow, 79, of Grand Island, NE died Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be Monday, May 24, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev. Mark A. Maresh will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the United Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be Sunday, May 23, 2010, from 5 7 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
Chuck was born July 24, 1930, at Sidney, Nebraska. He was the son of George W. Sr. & Winifred (Johnson) Barlow.

Chuck grew up in Sidney, Nebraska attending Sidney High School. After graduation he attended Colorado State University. He entered the U.S. Air Force on October 4, 1950, serving until his honorable discharge on October 3, 1954. He returned to Sidney where he married Dorothy L. Ringleman, on November 27, 1954. They lived in Sidney and he was employed at Rainbow Bread. In 1960 they moved to North Platte, NE and he was employed at Roberts Dairy. In 1970 they moved to Grand Island, NE and he was employed at Mobil Oil. He retired in 1990. After his retirement he worked for Hall County Park as a general maintenance & security guard for 10 years. The past 16 years Chuck and Dorothy spent their winters in McAllen, TX. He enjoyed Husker sports, golfing & bowling.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the VFW.
