IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carla Jean
Koehler
July 22, 1969 – February 6, 2025
Carla Jean Koehler, aged 55, passed away on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE. She was born on July 22nd, 1969, in Grand Island, NE, to Robert and Dorothy (Bykerk) Koehler. She was a proud resident of Omaha, NE and graduated Millard South High School in 1988. Carla worked for many years as a receptionist at Methodist Physicians Clinic Millard before transitioning to reception at Boys Town National Research Hospital, where her communication and people skills allowed her to connect to both patients and coworkers alike. She also enjoyed working part-time reception at Superior Honda of Omaha. Carla was a very honest individual with a "spitfire" personality. She loved her family, and treasured the moments she spent with her nephews and keeping her two sons in line. Her laughter was infectious, and could light up a whole room if needed. She cared very deeply for those around her, and was never afraid to show it. Carla's bubbly and caring personality made a wide-spread positive impact amongst family, friends and coworkers.
Carla was a breast cancer survivor and advocate for breast cancer awareness.
She is preceded by her mother Dorothy (Bykerk) Koehler and her brother Robert J Koehler Jr.
She is survived by her father, Robert J Koehler Sr., her two sons, Joshua L Koehler and Jerad H. Forrest, her sister, Stephanie Koehler, and her three nephews.
