Obituary

Bonnie M. Hulse, 75, of Grand Island, NE, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at CHI Health St. Francis, in Grand Island, NE with her loving family at her side. A celebration of Bonnie's life will be on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Curran Funeral Chapel. The family request you wear Husker or Kansas City Chief apparel in Bonnie's memory. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Bonnie was born May 16, 1942, in Burwell, NE. She was the daughter of Floyd and Minnie (Farmer) Anderson. Survivors of her immediate family include her sons, Marty Hulse and his special friend Denise Doggett of Gering, NE Kevin and Tammie Hulse of Castle Rock, CO Troye and Donell Hulse of Burwell, NE Others left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, Mik Hulse, Madison Hulse, Kaitlyn and Chris Bailey, Kassidie Hulse, Abigail Peterson, and Ella Peterson, five great grandchildren, and her very close friend Maureen Hulse. Bonnie grew up in Burwell, graduating from Burwell High School in 1960. She married Earl L. Hulse in December of 1964, at Franklin, NE. They lived throughout Nebraska while Earl worked construction. Bonnie was a C.N.A. while they lived in Burwell. In 1997 Bonnie moved to Grand Island. She was a keno writer for Fonner Park Keno retiring in 2004. Bonnie was an avid Husker fan, loved her Kansas City Chief's, enjoyed watching all sports, sewing, and playing Bingo. You could always find Bonnie's Shih Tzu, Snuggles, close by her. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert "Fuzz" Anderson and Floyd "Jupe" Anderson Jr. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
