Blaine G. Hansen, 64, of Grand Island, NE, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center. A memorial service will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Sheri Lodel will officiate. Mr. Hansens wishes were to be cremated. There is no visitation. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Mr. Hansen was born June 14, 1948, at Valentine, Nebraska. He was the son of Kenneth and Harriett (Albee) Hansen. Survivors of the immediate family include his daughter, Denise Baker of Ontario, OR Sons and daughter-in-law, Denis and Kellie Hansen of Norfolk, NE Dustin Hansen of Grand Island, NE Sister, Patricia Bodenstedt of Brunswick, NE Brother, Duane Hansen of Grand Island, NE Others left to cherish his memory include his seven grandchildren and one great grandson Blaine grew up in Omaha, NE before graduating from Plainview High School in Plainview, NE, in 1966. He worked in Norfolk, NE as a welder for Vulcraft. He moved to Madison, NE and was employed at Lindsey Manufacturing as a welder. He married Linda McFadden at Yankton, SD, in 1968. They lived in Madison. He lived in California for a time before returning to Grand Island, NE, in the early 90s. He was employed at New Holland as a welder until becoming disabled. Blaine enjoyed fishing and camping. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the familys choice.
