Barbara J. Taylor, 67, of Grand Island, Nebraska died Friday, August 14, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society – Grand Island Village. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. Msgr. Mark Huber will be the celebrant. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Albion, NE. The funeral mass will be livestreamed on St. Leo’s Catholic Church Facebook page. Barb was born September 18, 1958, in Albion, NE. She was the daughter of Samuel G. and Dorothy M. (Gietzen) Taylor. Barb grew up in Albion graduating from Albion High School. She remained in Albion several years, working with her parents at the First National Bank, cleaning offices. Barb moved with her parents to Grand Island. She made many friends over the years, along with keeping up with her nieces and nephews and their children. Barb was active in St. Leo’s Catholic Church; she loved playing bingo and going to the casino occasionally. She followed the Albion News to keep up on what was happening in her hometown, as well as keeping up with Albion friends who have moved to different areas in the United States. Over the years Barb enjoyed the company of her cats.

Barb is survived by her brother, Gary (Peggy) Taylor of Grand Island, NE and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeremey Doudney Jr., and sister Margorie Wilson.
