Audrie B. Zeleski, 88, of Grand Island, NE died Friday, January 30, 2015, at her home. A memorial mass will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, in Grand Island, NE. The Rev. Michael F. McDermott and Rev. Thomas A. Ryan will concelebrate. A lunch will follow the mass. Inurnment will be in St. Anns Cemetery in Lexington, NE. with a 2:00 p.m. committal service followed by a 2:30 p.m. memorial mass at St. Anns Catholic Church in Lexington, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015, from 5 7 p.m. with a rosary vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
Audrie was born August 22, 1926, in Ashton, NE. She is the daughter of Steve and Berniece (Kantor) Jonak

Others left to cherish her memory will include her nine grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 19 step great grandchildren.
Audrie grew up in Ashton, graduating from Ashton High School in 1944. She married I. A. Zeleski on January 21, 1947, in Ashton, NE. They lived in the Ashton and Burwell areas until moving to Lexington, NE in 1954. Audrie was a clerk and merchandise manager for Frosts Department Store retiring in 1996. Mr. Zeleski died November 24, 1984. Audrie moved to Grand Island in 2007.
She loved her family and the time shared with them. She enjoyed playing cards, tending flowers and lived life to the fullest.
She was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church while in Lexington and was a member and past president of its altar society. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of Americas, Court Queen of Peace #2227, and was active in Garden and Extension Clubs and VFW Auxiliary.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the building fund at Resurrection Catholic Church, Newman Center in Kearney, NE, EWTN, or the donors choice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, I.A. Zeleski, an infant daughter, Mary, a sister Carol Lonowski, and a daughter-in-law Sithay Zeleski.
