Anne was born on July 23, 1961, in Omaha, NE, to Robert W. and Mary Ellen (Spencer) Rupp. She grew up in Grand Island, NE, where she excelled in competitive sports, particularly basketball, and is credited for holding rebounding records at Grand Island Central Catholic (GICC) and in the state of Nebraska. Anne graduated from GICC in 1979 and continued her education and basketball career at Central Community College – Columbus Campus.
After college, Anne worked as a mutual teller for the Nebraska Thoroughbred Horse Racing Circuit. In 1987, she moved to Southern California and began her career as a Sales Support Representative with the Timken Company (formerly the Torrington Company) in 1991. Her career led her to Atlanta, GA, and later to Charlotte, NC, where she made her home for nearly 25 years. Throughout her 33+ year tenure, Anne was a highly valued and respected team member among colleagues and management alike. She was the "go-to" person for many Timken sales representatives, always willing to go the extra mile. Posthumously, the Timken Salesperson of the Year Award was renamed the Stanton/Rupp Award to honor Anne's legacy of excellence and her dedication to the associates she served.
Anne's love for animals was evident in her dedication to her cats and her volunteer work with the Humane Society, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, and local shelters in the Charlotte community. Her kind and generous heart extended to her coworkers, family, and friends, always offering support and care whenever needed. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed traveling with friends and family, including occasional excursions to Las Vegas. Anne's affection for traveling with loved ones made every trip special and memorable.
Anne is survived by her father, Robert W. "Bob" Rupp of Grand Island, NE; brothers Bob (Kristi) Rupp Jr. of Omaha, NE, Roger (Judy) Rupp of Seattle, WA, and Craig (Karen) Rupp of Grand Island, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved Aunt Bernadette "Cookie" Hervert of Hastings, NE, who provided selfless care and support throughout Anne's illness and the Ziller Family (Julie & Bill) of Grand Island, her beloved aunt, uncle and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Rupp.
