Alice "Irene" Eastwood, 96, of Anselmo, NE, died Sunday, May 22, 2022, at CHI Health St. Francis, in Grand Island, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Eastwood's wish was to be cremated and no services are planned. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Irene was born September 15, 1925, in Callaway, NE. She is the daughter of George and Rebecca (Wright) Dircksen. Irene grew up in Gothenburg, NE attending Red Fern School later graduating from Stapleton High School in 1943. Irene married William J. "Bill" Eastwood on September 21, 1944, at Ft. Riley, KS. The couple lived in Stapleton, NE, Colorado, Pine Bluffs, WY, and Central City, NE, before settling in Anselmo, NE in 1969 where the couple farmed, raised cattle and operated a dairy farm. Bill died June 14, 2015. Irene loved tending her flower garden, vegetable garden, experiencing nature and the out-of-doors. Memorials are suggested to the Anselmo Fire Department. Survivors of the immediate family include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Eastwood of Grand Island, NE Bob and Char Eastwood of Anselmo, NE Two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Ron Jensen of Grand Island, NE Carol and Jerry Urbanski of Grand Island, NE Others left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Corey Ludwig, Jared and Jamie Jensen, Kelli and Henry Schulte, John and Monica Urbanski, Bart and Shannon Eastwood, Elizabeth and Scott Stotler. Great grandchildren, Hunter Ludwig, Cade Ludwig, Alex Urbanski, Jordyn Urbanski, Cole Eastwood, Allie Eastwood, Bennett Stotler, Dax Stotler, Wyatt Jensen, Whitney Jensen, and great great grandson, Ryan Ludwig.
