Adrian J. Kluna, 85, of Grand Island, Nebraska, died Thursday, August 20, 2015, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Mr. Kluna requested cremation and no services are planned. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. More details will appear later. Adrian was born December 5, 1929, at Ord, Nebraska. He was the son of Anton and Mary (Moudry) Kluna. He is preceded in death by wife Connee Kluna and a son James S. Kluna Survivors of his immediate family include his sisters, Wilma Drudik of Burwell, NE Evelyn Boro of Ord, NE Margie Swanek of Grand Island, NE Others left to cherish his memory include numerous nieces and nephews. Adrian grew up in Ord, graduating from Ord High School in 1947. He attended the Agriculture College at UNL before entering the Air Force on February 13, 1952. He married Connee Mantia on January 30, 1954 at Washington, PA. Upon his honorable discharge on February 12, 1956 he returned to Ord and was employed with the John Deere Company traveling throughout the Midwest. He and Connee moved to Omaha, where their son James Scott was born. Adrian later worked for the Koch Insurance Co. until retiring in 2010 when he moved to Grand Island. He was an avid Husker football fan and was a member of the United Veterans Club. Memorials are suggested to the familys choice.
